Ocean Youth Celebrates Pride!

Ocean Youth is Heading to Torbay Pride 2026!

We're excited to announce that Ocean Youth will be attending Torbay Pride on 13th June!

As part of the day's events, we'll be joining the Pride March, which takes place from 12pm, travelling from Princess Gardens to Torre Abbey Green.

You can also find our Boom Bus at Torre Abbey Green throughout the event. Stop by and get involved with a range of creative activities, including:

  • 🎧 Try your hand at DJing

  • 🎙️ Experience live radio broadcasting

  • 🎨 Leave your mark on our community graffiti wall

If you can't make it to Torbay Pride in person, you can still join in the celebrations by tuning in to our special Pride-themed radio show at 1:00pm. Hosted by Daisy and Grace, the show will explore the history of Pride and highlight some of the individuals who have helped shape the LGBTQ+ rights movement. They'll also be sharing their favourite LGBTQ+ representation in film, television, music, and other media, celebrating the stories and voices that continue to inspire communities around the world.

Ocean Youth Presenter’s dad takes on the marathon!

One of our Ocean Youth Radio presenters, Dan, recently shared some exciting news on air…

This weekend, his dad, Guy Boosey, is taking on the London Marathon!

Guy is running in support of Sound Communities/Ocean Youth and Link Torbay who have supported Dan on his journey.

We’re so proud of everything Dan has achieved with us at Ocean Youth and the determination he shows every day.

Dan never gives up, and that spirit will carry me through every mile of this marathon. If he can keep pushing forward, then so can I.
— Guy Boosey

We’re all behind Guy, and the whole Ocean Youth team wishes Guy the very best of luck as he heads to London this weekend!
